The fear of snow is known as Chionophobia. When someone fears snow, they may do so for a variety of reasons: from fear of frostbite and hypothermia, to a strong distaste for being out and about when there has been snowfall…there can be many triggers and explanations for this phobia.
Most people dread cold weather and the discomfort it brings. Many of us fantasize about living in tropical climes, where we can frolic in warm waters and bask in bright, hot sunlight. When the fear of cold becomes a phobia, it is known as Cheimaphobia or Cheimatophobia.
